A group of 36 students from Thailand recently visited Walsall College for 8 weeks studying an English Language programme.
We found accommodation for each of the students and teachers with CRB checked local families, who found the experience of living with host families a valuable part of their cultural understanding of British Culture.
All the students will be taking an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) English exam at the end of the course, as they chose Cambridge as their testing centre, the end of the exam was celebrated with an excursion.
Dr Choksaurin Jitchoknimit, IELTS Preparation Course Project Manager at Samufprakarn Assumption School in Thailand commented, “The course is very good and prepares students for IELT tests which they will need in order to go onto university.
“A group of students came here last year and we saw good results, so we decided to bring another group along this year.
“The campus is very impressive here, with good facilities for students to use. As well as studying, the students have been living with nice host families and have been given a real experience of British culture.”
