The end of term did not spell out the end of lessons for some students in the college – instead, it was just the beginning for a selection of international students, taking part in summer courses to sharpen up their English skills.

Not only did students have the opportunity to improve their English skills and meet new people, they also embraced the chance to learn about English culture, including trips to Birmingham, London, Stratford and Alton Towers.

Marvi (Ng Shu Fung) from China stated, “I have enjoyed the whole experience at Walsall College – my speaking skills have improved since I started the course and I have made many friends. The teachers were excellent and the International team were friendly and made us feel welcome. I hope to come back to Walsall College next year to do a full time course”.
