Level 2 Various Locations, not at Walsall College sites. Apprenticeships
This course covers all aspects of the day to day running of leisure facilities. The Active Leisure and Learning Apprenticeship combines practical work experience within the health and fitness industry. This qualification is appropriate if you are looking to enhance your career in the fitness and leisure industry.
The Active Leisure and Learning Apprenticeship combines practical work experience within the health and fitness industry with nationally recognised qualifications, designed
by the industry, for the industry. Homework or private study is required. The student is employed within the industry, allowing them to gain practical work experience,
whilst attending College on a monthly day release basis.
Entry Requirements
The selection process will include a basic Initial Assessment and an interview during which your suitability, commitment and interest for the programme will be determined. To be accepted onto the programme you will need to achieve Literacy and Numeracy at a minimum of Level 1 and it is preferable that you have GCSE grades
A – C in Maths and English or equivalent. The suitability of your employer will be determined before you are accepted onto the programme. Your employer will need to demonstrate that they have the necessary Health and Safety arrangements in place to satisfy legislative requirements, and that they are able to provide you with the full range of work to successfully complete the Apprenticeship framework. If you do not have an offer of employment we may be able to assist you, however this can not be guaranteed as demand for Apprenticeship places are high.
