Level 2 St Paul's Campus 36 Weeks Part Time
GCSE English classes are offered at various times throughout the week to cater for daytime and evening students. It is a one year course and classes are 2.5 hours per week.
The GCSE English course integrates English Literature with English Language. The two subjects enable learners to achieve a combined grade up to A* by means of the higher tier of AQA’s Specification B.
Entry Requirements
All students will undergo initial and diagnostic assessment testing and will complete a piece of free-writing as part of an informal interview. Learners will also be expected to have achieved one of the following: GCSE Grade D, Level 2 Certificate in Adult Literacy, Key Skills Communication Level 2. Individual circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis for learners with no prior qualifications.
