Wisemore Campus 64 weeks Higher Education

This course is ideal if you wish to pursue a career in the Armed Forces, Police Service, Fire Service,
Ambulance Service, Prison Service, Security, Revenue and Customs, Leisure or Youth and Community
Work, and you are interested in a senior or supervisory role.

You will be in college for two days a week, and would be welcome to attend fitness sessions every Friday
that will include at least a 1.5 mile run to help train you for the entry to your chosen public service.

This course has an emphasis on teamwork and the development of management skills along with a number of practical units. You will study the course through a combination of taught sessions, role play, group work, self-directed study and day visits. You may also participate in residential stays, activities and expedition trips (some of these are compulsory).

Private study is required.

 

Entry Requirements

By interview and initial assessment plus a National Diploma, A or A/S Level qualifications, other relevant qualifications or experience at the discretion of the course team.

Progression

On successful completion of this course you could progress onto university to complete a related degree subject.
