Level 3 Wisemore Campus 72 weeks Full Time

This course is designed to offer a broad introduction to the music industry with an emphasis upon music technology. Project work and support of music performances are integrated into the course which covers a range of specialism’s including sequencing, recording, music production, live sound and backline management. You are encouraged to compose and master your own work and undertake work simulation in a number of technically creative or supportive roles. Visits by artists and industry experts support a much wider understanding of opportunities within the industry. You will keep up to date with your progress through regular tutorials and ongoing assessment of assignment work and projects. Private study is required and the course offers opportunities to gain qualifications in Functional Skills English, Maths and or ICT.

 

Entry Requirements

By interview, initial assessment and portfolio of evidence demonstrating use of music software plus 4 GCSEs at grade C or above or BTEC First Diploma with strong merit profile. Mature students with prior experience and knowledge are welcome to apply.
