Level 3 Wisemore Campus 35 weeks Full Time

This course is for anyone wishing to enter the world of motor vehicle engineering or as a base to enter the world of wider mechanical engineering (such as heavy goods or public transport). The course consists of fifteen units. Units include: knowledge of health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment; skills in health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment, knowledge of support for job roles in the automotive work environment and skills in supporting job roles in the automotive work environment. Students will complete additional Functional Skills qualifications as part of the course. Assessment is continuous by practical assessment tasks, Gola online examinations and completion of a portfolio of evidence. Private study is required.

 

Entry Requirements

By interview, a dexterity test (pass mark 70%), Key skills in literacy and numeracy above Level 1 (ideally Level 2), GCSE results in English, Maths and or Science above grade C. Completion of level 3 entrance test.
