Entry Level 3 Wisemore Campus 36 weeks Full Time

This course is a must for anyone wishing to enter the world of motor vehicle engineering or as a base to enter the world of wider mechanical engineering (such as heavy goods or public transport). Assessment is continuous through observation by practical assessment tasks and portfolio of evidence. Students will also be completing Functional Skills assignments providing an opportunity to improve Maths and English skills. Our tutorial system will consist of a variety of personal and social development units as well as completing the Walsall College Graduate. You are required to complete eleven units to achieve the award; health & safety, work bench skills, electrical systems, chassis systems, cooling systems, exhaust systems, braking systems, lubrication systems, wheels and tyres, suspension systems, vehicle body and interior cleaning. Private study is required.

 

Entry Requirements

By interview and successfully completing a dexterity test with scores of 60% or above, Key skills in literacy and numeracy E3 and above and GCSE results in English, Maths and/or Science at grade D or above.
