The Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification meets the needs of employers and is regulated by Automotive Skills to national occupational standards.

The Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Apprenticeship framework is available for Light and Heavy Vehicles and includes the following components:
NVQ Level 2
• Technical Certificate Level 2
• Key Skills in Application of Number Level 1
• Key Skills in Communications Level 1
• Key Skills in Information and Communication Technology Level 1
• Employer Rights and Responsibilities

 

Entry Requirements

The selection process will include a basic Initial Assessment and an interview during which your suitability, commitment and interest for the programme will be determined. To be accepted onto the programme you will need to achieve Literacy and Numeracy at a minimum of Level 1 and it is preferable that you have GCSE grades A – C in Maths, English and ICT or equivalent. The suitability of your employer will be determined before you are accepted onto the programme. Your employer will need to demonstrate that they have the necessary Health and Safety arrangements in place to satisfy legislative requirements, and that they are able to provide you with the full range of work to successfully complete the Apprenticeship framework. If you do not have an offer of employment we may be able to assist you, however this can not be guaranteed as demand for Apprenticeship places are high.

Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3), Level 3 Automotive Qualifications, Institute of Leadership and Management or Level 2 / Level 3 Management Qualifications
