Wisemore Campus 3/4 Week Full Time
This is a short 3 or 4 week English programme including activities and excursions to places of interest. The course is aimed at people who wish to improve their English skills and to take part in a variety of fun activities that will enhance their learning experience.
The course will help you to:
• increase your confidence in understanding and speaking English with native speakers and other international students
• extend your knowledge and use of English grammar and vocabulary, listening skills, speaking skills and writing skills in both general and in academic contexts
• increase your knowledge of British society and culture
The course is very practical. The teaching sessions are mixed, so you’ll develop your English language skills through ‘real world’ tasks, which will link in with the excursions and social events. So you’ll feel confident with communicating in English inside and outside the classroom!
Walsall College’s 3 or 4 week English Language Summer School is designed to provide you with an introduction to the English skills you need to live, work or study in an English-speaking country. The course combines English speaking, listening, reading and writing with cultural visits to give you a flavour of life in the UK or to prepare you for further study in the UK. The course will also focus on improving your grammar and use of vocabulary in both general and in academic contexts at all levels, from beginner to advanced levels.
Typical excursions include:
Stratford upon Avon – birthplace of William Shakespeare
Birmingham – UK’s second city – sightseeing and shopping
London – capital city – sightseeing and shopping
If requested additional visits can also be arranged to Warwick Castle – the finest medieval castle in England, this will incur an additional cost.
