Level 4 Wisemore 1 Year Full Time

Interior designers must know how to plan a space and how to present that plan visually so that it can be communicated to a client. Interior designers must also know about the materials and products that will be used to create and furnish the space, and how texture, colour, lighting and other factors combine and interact to make a space. If you answer yes to the following questions this course could be what you’re looking for.
Do you have an interest in physical spaces? When you are in a space do you tend to take notice of your
surroundings? Do you frequently make suggestions on how to improve your home surroundings, or do you like to design or redesign your personal space? Can you someday see yourself as the person responsible for
redesigning the interior of your school, your favourite restaurant or nightspot, or a clothing store?

This course will enable you to develop conceptual, creative and practical skills and to encourage flexibility, knowledge, and motivation as a basis for future studies and career development. This course is the specialist Interior Design pathway from the HNC 3D Design and offers the opportunity to specialise within the scope of the units available. 3D design is a broad area which can include other elements such as furniture design, model-making and exhibition and theatre design, as well as more craft-based disciplines. Whilst these topics may form some of the studies, it must be made clear that this high level course maintains a practical and theoretic study with a focus on interior design. A wide and flexible range of media can be used to suit personal progression of your own ideas and explorations, supported by CAD sessions using contemporary computer design packages to give the best possible experience relevant to the workplace. Many projects link with industry based assignments.
