Level 3 Wisemore Campus 2 Years Full Time
The diploma equips students with the skills and knowledge to begin and progress within a career working with children under the age of 16 years old. The course combines practical experience with theoretical study. Study modules include; working with parents; working with babies; play curriculum and early learning; anti-discriminatory and anti-bias practice; developing child; foundation to caring; health and community care; observation and assessment; professional practice and preparation for employment. The course also offers the possibility of gaining a First Aid Certificate. Private study is required.
Please note – This course is for students with IELTS 5.0 (or equivalent), if only IELTS 4.5 (or equivalent) is held an additional 1 term and £500 will be payable.
All course fees are payable per year.
Entry Requirements
You must have a minimum of level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) English qualification to apply for a student visa. To study a level 3 qualification you will need an IELTS score of 5.0 (or equivalent) and qualifications at the following levels e.g.
• India – Higher Secondary (12 Grade)
• Middle East – Secondary Diploma (Tawjihiyah)
• China/ Hong Kong – Senior Secondary School Certificate
• Africa – West African Senior School Certificate
You will be required to take part in an initial assessment to ensure that the course and level of study is suited to your ability.
Progression
After successful completion of this course you can progression to our Foundation Degree in Community Health and Social Care. You may also choose to progress to university to study a degree.
