Level 3 Wisemore Campus 2 Years Full Time

The course focuses primarily on the practical skills of the dancer, through workshops, and small and large scale performances. You may take part in local tours and other performance events. The main dance techniques studied are ballet, jazz and contemporary. In addition, this qualification offers the opportunity to experience the various technical elements of theatre, including set design and construction, lighting and sound. There will be opportunities to go on theatre trips and backstage tours. Private study is required and the course offers opportunities to gain qualifications in Functional Skills English, Maths and or ICT. *Please note8 – This course is for students with IELTS 5.0 (or equivalent), if only IELTS 4.5 (or equivalent) is held an additional 1 term and £500 will be payable.
All courses are payable per year.

 

Entry Requirements

You must have a minimum of level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFR) English qualification to apply for a student visa. To study a level 3 qualification you will need an IELTS score of 5.0 (or equivalent) and qualifications at the following levels e.g.
• India – Higher Secondary (12 Grade)
• Middle East – Secondary Diploma (Tawjihiyah)
• China/ Hong Kong – Senior Secondary School Certificate
• Africa – West African Senior School Certificate
You will be required to take part in an initial assessment to ensure that the course and level of study is suited to your ability.

Progression

Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting/Dance), employment or university degree
