Level 3 Wisemore Campus 70 weeks Full Time

This course aims to provide you with the practical skills and knowledge of I T and includes both software and hardware elements, which may include specialism’s such as networking and web development. The course consists of eighteen I T related units. Twelve units are studied in the first year with the remaining six in the second year. This will give students a valuable insight to the varied careers in I T. Opportunities to gain recognised Microsoft qualifications are available. Private study is required.

 

Entry Requirements

By interview and initial assessment plus 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths or an overall Merit achieved on the BTEC First Diploma in I T or equivalent, and the Key Skills Application of Number qualification at Level 1 / 2.

Progression

Progression to the Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma Computing at Walsall College
