BTEC First Diploma in Public Services

Level 2 Wisemore Campus 1 Year Full Time

This exciting course is for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the Public Services (Uniformed) such as police, fire, ambulance, army, navy, air force, customs and excise and the prison service. The Level 2 Diploma is equivalent to 4/5 GCSEs at grade C, and therefore the workload and academic level reflects this. You will be required to be fully up to date with your work, enabling you to progress to the end and hopefully a successful
qualification. Homework or private study is required.

 

Entry Requirements

An appropriate Level 1 qualification or have GCSEs of grades D and E. Additionally, you will need to take an initial assessment and attend a formal HTL School presentation and interview. If progressing to this course from another college course, a reference required. A short fitness test may be required.

Progression

Progression on to the BTEC National Diploma in Public Services (Level 3) is available, based on a “Merit” First
Diploma profile and a positive reference from the learners Level 2 College tutors.
