Foundation Degree in Salon Business Management

Level 4/5 Wisemore Campus Two years full time over three days

To provide specialised studies in salon business and management which are directly relevant to the hairdressing or beauty therapy profession, in which students are currently working, or in which they intend to seek employment. It has both a hairdressing and beauty therapy pathway.

The course will provide an opportunity for the student to develop the supervisory and management skills relevant to the hairdressing or beauty therapy sector. It includes specialist modules in both hair and beauty therapy and allows the student to analyse and evaluate the changing business environment at local, national and international level. Homework or private study is required.

A work placement in a hairdressing or beauty therapy salon is also a requirement of the course.

 

Entry Requirements

By interview and initial; assessment, plus a Level 3 Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy Certificate, or 100 UCAS points.

A work placement will be required in a hair or beauty salon.
