Graphic Design
BTEC Higher National Certificate in Graphic Design
Level 5 St Paul's Campus 1 year full time (30 weeks), 2 years part time (2 x 30 weeks) by negotiation.
This course is designed for learners wishing to progress onto a specialist higher education course in order to take up employment in the graphic design industry.
The course offers a broad experience for design, but focuses primarily on design for print âÂÂÂÂ" corporate identity, packaging, editorial, brochure design, and advertising. As well as looking at the practical and production side of graphic design, a great deal of emphasis is placed upon evolving the design. Projects are influenced by live client briefs and foreign trips. Homework or private study is required.
Entry Requirements
By interview plus either A Levels, National Diploma in Graphic Design, Access to Higher Education Certificates or Credits in a related subject or successful completion of a one year Foundation course in Art & Design. Mature learners without any formal qualifications will be considered with relevant experience subject to interview.
Progression
HND in Graphic Design is available upon successful completion. This could lead to a top up degree or employment.
