Level 2 Green Lane Campus/ Work Place The length of course is between 18 and 24 months

Engineers work in a diverse range of high tech industries including Aerospace, Motor Sport, Medical, Telecommunications, Space, Oil and Gas, to name but a few. In these industries they perform roles including Design, Manufacturing, Sales, Installation, Maintenance and Quality. As an Engineering Apprentice you will be employed by a company and will attend Walsall College 1 day each week. You will need to be able to work well as part of a team, be reliable, honest and have a good work ethic. Also you must be prepared to be flexible in your working arrangements.
Entry Requirements
You will need the ability to communicate and interpret technical information through written specifications, technical drawings, tables and charts. Therefore, during the selection process you will be required to undertake an initial assessment in Numeracy and Literacy. To be accepted onto an Apprenticeship programme you will have to achieve:
Minimum requirement:
• Numeracy Level 1
• Literacy Level 1
Preferred but not required:
• GCSE Maths grade C or above
• GCSE Science grade C or above
• GCSE English grade C or above
Progression
Advanced Apprenticeship/ NVQ Level 3
